Our sterling silver rope chains are made in Italy from solid 925 silver. Each link is twisted into a tight spiral, so the faceted surface catches the light from every angle and gives a rope chain its sparkle.

Choose a fine 1.4mm rope chain for pendants, an everyday 2.7mm or 3.4mm chain, or our bestselling 5.0mm rope chain, which has real presence worn on its own. Chains come in 16" to 24", and matching rope bracelets come in 2.7mm, 3.4mm and 5.0mm.

Which Width and Length?

  • 1.4mm: made for pendants and layering.
  • 2.7mm to 3.4mm: a subtle everyday chain for men and women.
  • 5.0mm: a bold chain that stands out without a pendant.
  • Length: 18" sits at the collarbone on most women, 20" to 22" is the most popular length for men, and 24" sits mid-chest.

What width chain should I choose?

For a pendant, 0.92mm to 1.4mm keeps the focus on the pendant. 2.1mm is noticeable but still fine. 3.5mm and above is a statement chain worn on its own.

Which length is most popular?

18" (45cm) sits on the collarbone and is our most popular length for women. 20" to 22" is a common choice for men.

Are your chains solid silver?
