Chain length guide for women
Ladies Women usually have a smaller neck, so a chain hangs lower than the same length would on a man. Shorter chains usually suit women best.
Chain length guide for men
Gents Men usually have a larger neck, so a chain sits higher than the same length would on a woman. Longer chains usually suit men best.

Chain thickness

Under 1.4mm Fine and delicate. Ideal for pendants. 2mm–2.5mm Everyday chains that wear well alone. 2.7mm–3.5mm A noticeable chain with more weight. 3.8mm–4.5mm Bold links, popular with men. 5mm plus Statement chains with real presence.
